Growing up as a Black girl, my confidence was deeply connected to my hair. I often felt my best only when my hair felt “perfect.” Even as an adult, confidence can still be a journey, but I recognize how fortunate I am to have access to the self-care resources that support me.

Not everyone has that same privilege. That realization inspired me to found CROWN & Roots — an organization dedicated to providing hair care resources, fostering confidence, and helping individuals embrace their beauty in a world that often promotes unrealistic standards.
